General Job Description:
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Building Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services including but not limited to electrical/lighting, plumbing, doors and hardware, painting, security, IT, HVAC, landscaping, building inspections, and general office repairs. Coordinate and meet with contractors, vendors, security, and property managers to coordinate work and maintain building integrity. Supervises: N/A Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Building Maintenance Support for the Pleasanton ACCO offices and surrounding regional offices.
- Conduct building inspections, complete daily building walks, survey equipment from roof to basement to identify possible issues (i.e. leaks, light replacements, etc.).
- Provide oversite of Fire Life Safety inspections and Elevator inspections.
- Contact building vendors to coordinate repairs including but not limited to: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Landscaping, Security, etc.
- IT Building support. Coordinate with the IT Department and install computer hardware, cabling and/or hang monitors and TVs as needed.
- Security: Coordinate and resolve service-related issues with onsite Security Company.
- Appliance and equipment installation (refrigerator, microwaves, toasters, etc.).
- Reports all maintenance problems to management.
- Assist Mailroom as needed including delivery of office and building supplies to the correct departments and locations, organize mailroom/supply room. Assist when parts need to be returned. This includes boxing up items, doing correct paperwork and managing small outbound packages.
- Respond to the offices on/off hours to deal with emergencies as they arise.
Building Repair:
- Lighting replacement, interior/exterior lighting, and parking lot lights.
- Door and Hardware Repair, metal/wood, closers, hinges, sweeps, etc.
- Painting, plaster, drywall and wallpaper repair, interior and exterior jobs.
- Ceiling tile replacement, changing water filters, window cleaning, alarm updates, programming and installations, hanging artwork and bulletin boards and installing carpet tiles.
- Furniture repair, drawers, adjustments, assembly.
- Moving items as needed (i.e. furniture, filing cabinets, boxes, etc.)
- Set up tables and chairs in conference and training rooms.
- Clean up and keep various meeting rooms organized.
- Other duties may be assigned by the Facilities Manager or Executive Management.
Position Requirements:
- 5 years' experience with Building Maintenance.
- Basic understanding of building maintenance parts, and equipment to assist maintenance staff appropriately.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Hours: Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with a 30-minute break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs. Travel: 5-8 times per month to the job site and as needed to regional offices. COMPETITIVE WAGES:
$24.75 to 32.63 per hour.
