How You'll Perform the Role

The shipping coordinator will handle shipping an inventory record for the plant.

Functions and key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:




  • Follow GMP in compliance with all food safety requirements.
  • Organize and assign drivers for loading and unloading of daily shipments.
  • Print and put packets together for daily live shipments and customer pickups: AX confirmation sheets, Transplace cover sheets, and inspections sheets.
  • Create and print Bill of Ladings for each shipment
  • Print and put packets together for all pre-loads for the week / weekend
  • Communicate with Transplace throughout the day via email and phone to ensure all carriers arrive at Alsip for pickup
  • Check shipping cube, send shipping requests to Transplace via AX, and email it to Transplace
  • Cover as needed: Print production labels / packets / production schedule / Scan Inventory sheets
  • Communicate with CSRs via email / phone for any changes, shipping adjustments.
  • Communicate with forklift operators and spotter on what is needed to load / unload, or if any load shortages / issues.
  • Assist all drivers arriving at the shipping window


What We Need From You

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5 years clerical experience in traffic or shipping and receiving environment
  • 2 years of Forklift experience
  • Must have basic reading, math and communication skills.
  • Ability to use computer and use Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading a team preferred.
