The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of procedures within the procurement function. Must ensure performance targets for yield, cycle time, cost and delivery are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Directs and controls the activities of the purchasing department in collaboration with other department managers, having overall responsibility for planning, quality/reliability, and procurement of materials.

  • Interfaces with external and internal customers to report on major metrics and performance against targets to include on-time delivery, yield, cycle time reduction and cost reduction.

  • Assist with the development of MRP or other systems to maintain our competitive advantage.

  • Develop supplier requirements and certification to meet our objectives.

  • Conduct required inventory controls and reports for financial accounting

  • Selecting prospective vendors and negotiating contracts

  • Evaluating vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price

  • Evaluating quality, price, reliability, technical support and availability of goods and services

  • Negotiating Contracts: Securing favorable terms and conditions for purchase agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

  • Vendor Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contract terms.

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and executing purchasing strategies to optimize costs and improve procurement processes.

  • Team Leadership: Overseeing the work of buyers, hiring and training new staff, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

  • Negotiating, cost analysis and logistics.

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Ability to manage time and organize

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, and supply chain is preferred.

  • Previous leadership experience is a preferred

  • Previous experience with printed circuit boards is preferred

  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred

Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
