Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician with a passion for keeping operations running smoothly? Under general supervision, you will provide essential mechanical maintenance and repair support, contributing to our high standards of quality and safety.

In this dynamic role, you will be engaged in troubleshooting machinery, documenting repairs, and replacing or repairing defective parts. Your expertise will be critical as you reassemble equipment and test for conformance to specifications. You will respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, disassemble malfunctioning equipment, and test mechanisms on both large and small machinery pieces. Ensuring equipment calibration meets specified standards and interpreting technical documents will also be part of your daily tasks.

Our ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives on continuous improvement opportunities and maintains constructive cross-functional relationships. You will perform basic plumbing, piping operations, and operate machining tools and drill presses. Your skill set will also include basic welding operations, servicing pumps, drive system components, and troubleshooting alarms related to key winery systems.

Your responsibilities will extend to providing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for wine processing equipment, packaging line equipment, filtration equipment, de-stemmers, presses, and crush pits. Maintaining shop machines, tools, and facilities, as well as promoting occupational safety standards, will be paramount. You will follow safety and housekeeping practices, operate electrical test equipment and tools safely, and travel to various buildings to pick up parts and supplies as needed.

What You'll Need

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR
  • Associates degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 1 year of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial mechanical or automotive environment.
  • Required to work assigned shift (day, swing, and graveyard) and weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Required to conduct work at heights.
  • Required to lift and carry equipment that weighs up-to 50 pounds.
  • Required to work in a tight and confined space.
  • Required to provide own basic hand tools.
  • Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
