This position is responsible for (i) preparing and boarding commercial loans as part of the Commercial Closing department and (ii) overseeing the commercial loan booking daily functions. The primary functions include boarding externally documented new loans, renewals and extensions and overseeing the boarding of both internally and externally documented loans. The Commercial Booking Team Lead ensures all booking requests are properly processed on the Bank's core operating systems. In addition, the duties include conducting a second day review of boarded loans. WHAT YOU WILL DO LIST
Assigns via nCino, all booking tasks for ACH and extensions and maintains department workflow reports for booking new, renewal, ACH, extensions and modification loans. Utilize the Commercial Loan operating systems, in order to effectively board new, renewed, extended and modified loans. Responsible for updating and maintaining booking department procedures. Maintain a solid working knowledge of high-level commercial lending transactions, including real estate, ABLOC, SWAP loans, syndications and participations. Review and understand concepts set forth in the promissory note and various other documents securing loans in order to make an accurate comparison with the Bank's internal loan approval to properly board loans. Ensure completion of assigned daily department second day boarding verification requirements for externally documented commercial loans. Timely respond to inquiries from various internal and external servicing and lending departments regarding changes and modifications to existing and new loan boarding data for all assigned loans. Review loan closing and modification documents and offer necessary changes in response to inquiries for operation control group compliance. Track and assign various booking department responsibilities as needed. Responsible for oversight of the Booking staff workload, conducts performance reviews with department manager and supervises time/attendance of direct reports. Trains the Commercial Loan Booking staff. WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU General knowledge of the lending process and ability to interpret the policies & procedures governing commercial lending. Understanding of sophisticated commercial loan documentation and concepts related to the loan booking process for large commercial loans, including real estate, ABLOCs, swaps, syndications, and participations. Working knowledge of general regulations governing the banking industry, as well as agency guidelines and organization policies. Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal commercial customers, attorneys and participating bank personnel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills to set priorities of self and team to meet multiple deadlines and maintain efficient workflow of the team. Ability to provide coaching and direction to team members. Proficient in MS Office Suite, with knowledge of Salesforce and Fiserv Premier or similar platform programs required. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of credit and customer information. Requirements
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. 3-5 years commercial loan processing experience. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS Internal contacts with various department heads, relationship managers, commercial closing administrators, Loan Servicing associates. External contact may include borrowers' and bank counsel. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Office environment. Ability to operate a computer. Ability to communicate in order to exchange simple to complex information with individuals and groups. Ability to travel throughout Bank footprint. |
