Description

HOLT Group is looking to hire an Intern in our Human Resources department to assist the Employee Experience and Onboarding Team. The Intern will receive on-the-job training and will be able to work and learn in a corporate Human Resources setting. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall operation of their assigned department. This summer internship will be located at our office in San Antonio, TX.

Essential Functions:



  • Assist with New hire processing in the HRIS system
  • Office supply ordering for the Human Resources department
  • Assist with set up and scheduling for the New Employee Experience
  • I-9 processing support
  • New Hire Report Management
  • Assist with Intern program support - welcome, emails, and session
  • Assist with Resource updates - onboarding guide, HOLT Life, Holt Connect, PLP
  • Printing and mailing employee badges
  • Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from leadership
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Basic math calculations and the ability to read, write, and understand work instructions


Education and Experience:



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
  • Must be actively enrolled in a University or College program with an anticipated graduation year of 2026-2027
  • Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA


Travel:



  • No travel is expected for this position


Physical Requirements:



  • This role frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations


Work Environment:



  • Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
