About the role

As a consultant - project coordinatorin the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice area, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our state clients and their health information network initiatives. NYSTEC is considered a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients. This role has a hybrid work schedule allowing for remote work as on-site in the Albany area with the client, as needed. You should have a diverse set of organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively support project coordination and stakeholder engagement. You must be able to work collaboratively with a team, ensuring that deadlines are met while maintaining attention to detail. Additionally, you should be a skilled facilitator, capable of supporting and leading meetings/discussions with multiple stakeholder groups. Serving as a project coordinator, your day-to-day work will include applying coordination, facilitation, project management, proactive communication, and problem-solving skills to support our clients and their unique needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Creating key project documentation.
  • Planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Creating and updating presentation materials.
  • Facilitating meetings and stakeholder discussions.
  • Preparing and distributing meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-ups.
  • Organizing action items, risks, and issues.
  • Managing and maintaining multiple calendars.
  • Assisting with project quality management.
  • Tracking project timelines and project progress.
  • Acting as a liaison between teams to ensure smooth communication.
  • Working closely with the project team and external stakeholders to ensure that key project milestones are achieved in a timely manner.


About You:
Required Qualifications

  • Excellent writing, documentation, communication, and facilitation skills to meet project goals.
  • Experience as a project coordinator or project manager.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Demonstrated organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on health information technology projects.
  • Experience working with federal, state or local government.
  • Certified associate in project management (CAPM) or other project management certifications.


Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, business, public health, health informatics, or a related discipline.
  • An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.


The target base salary for this position is $60,000 - $82,000 per year. When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including skill set, experience, location, and job-related qualifications.
