Overview

The Product Manager will manage and ensure the commercial success of existing digital biology platforms and products, working with technical development and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

    Market Research and Product Roadmap Development: Manage and ensure the commercial success of existing digital biology platforms and products, working with technical development and commercial teams. Develop and manage comprehensive digital biology product roadmaps, prioritizing features, timelines, and strategic objectives in alignment with company-wide objectives.
  • Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management: Support the development of digital biology products under existing (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034) and new (ISO/IEC 9075 and ISO/IEC 11179) ISO standards, ensuring high standards for data quality management. Organize and lead technical support for digital biology products, interfacing with customers directly or internally with ATCC's technical support teams.
  • Business Opportunity Assessment: Manage and collaborate with external contractors or agency partners in product development, specifically computational biologists, software engineers and data scientists. Partner with internal and external groups to develop relevant stories and compelling data for key areas of research and target customer segments.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Measure and report on product line performance, optimizing the marketing mix and ensuring continual improvement of the product portfolio.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years' experience or equivalent
  • Strong background in SaaS and/or Bioinformatics portfolio management required.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing software-based product portfolios and leading new product introductions.
  • Advanced degree in biological sciences preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, preferably in a global setting.
  • Experience in conducting market research, customer surveys, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.


Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
