Work Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00am - 5:00pm

Additional hours as needed to fulfill the needs of the department.

Function:

Performs set up, tracking and other functions for residential real estate mortgage loan applications to assist mortgage processing of loan files in accordance with S&T Bank and investor guidelines and state and regulatory compliance requirements.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Review residential mortgage applications upon intake and accurately prepare file for processing.

  • Completes checklists to ensure all steps are completed for each task.

  • Assembles a loan file by uploading the applicable documents to get the file ready for processing:

  • Prints a copy of the work loan application and file checklist for the shadow file.

  • Completes dates in the processing tracking screen.

  • Orders various third-party verifications as requested by the processor.

  • Performs calls externally to vendors and employers for written and verbal verifications of employment.

  • Completes general ledger entries for initial fees.

  • Issues refunds as necessary via the electronic invoicing application.

  • Maintain and enhance good working relationships with S&T Bank employees, demonstrates the ability to effectively work independently; also works as a team player to the success of all department and the organization

  • Performs additional duties as required including any administrative assistance to support the functions of the Retail Mortgage Processing Department.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education.

Experience:

Two to five years of general experience required, specialized mortgage experience preferred but not required

Physical Demands:

Operates a keypad device: 60% of the day; operates electronic equipment: 20% of the day. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for both typing and filing on frequent basis up to 60% of the business day. Must be able to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 40% of the business day.
