JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible to oversee, manage and troubleshoot projects with varying levels of complexity, from inception to completion within our manufacturing plant. Individual will have a strong background and extensive knowledge in project management and manufacturing processes, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Develop and implement strategic project plans that align with the company's long-term goals and objectives.

* Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

* Coordinate, collaborate, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional departments to identify project tasks and ensure milestones are completed on time and within budget.

* Develop and maintain project documentation, including project justification, project summaries, project Gantt charts, budget, and resource loading.

* Reports to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.

* Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success and continuity.

* Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to maximize project efficiency.

* Identify the milestones, optimum sequencing of tasks to meet the milestones, including project completion.

* Establish ongoing KPIs and metrics to track project progress and performance.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.

* Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements; collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety.

* Manage more than one project simultaneously in a high-paced, changing environment.

* Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.

* Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.

* Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.

* Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone with respect.

* Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.

* Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to management.

* Understands department's key performance indicators (KPIs) and contributes to achieving these goals both individually and as a team.

* Other duties as needed or required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Some travel may be required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in Business Administration, Project Management, or a manufacturing environment.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and project management methodologies.

* Knowledge of plastic processing equipment and plastic materials

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

* Project management software: MS Project, Asana, ClickUp, Smartsheet, Wrike, or similar

* Certified Project Management Professional

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bilingual in Spanish.

* Proficient and recent experience with AS400.

PPE REQUIREMENTS

  • Safety glasses
  • Utility gloves
  • Leather top, slip-resistant, safety-toe shoes
  • Hardhat,/bump cap
  • Hearing protection (e.g. ear earplugs, earmuffs)
  • Face covering as/when applicable, (mask) in accordance with company policy.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$100,000 - $ 150,000 may vary based on actual experience

Salary may vary based on experience.
