The Program Director - Agency Management Systems will lead the strategic direction, oversight, and continuous improvement of our Applied Epic environment across the organization. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of Epic Systems Administrators and driving initiatives that enhance system performance, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction.

The Program Director will oversee system configuration standards, data governance, integration eff orts, and end-user enablement strategies. In addition to providing technical guidance, this individual will collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders, IT, and vendor partners to align our Applied Epic agency management system's capabilities with organizational goals.

What the day will look like

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work collaboratively to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Applied Epic Systems Administrators.
  • Set the vision and roadmap for the effective use and evolution of Applied Epic and its integration with our proprietary platform.
  • Ensure consistency in system configuration, workflows, and user permissions across the organization.
  • Champion data integrity, security, and compliance within the Epic environment.
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and best practices across all business units using Applied Epic.
  • Oversee integrations with third-party systems and coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure stability and scalability.
  • Develop and deliver performance metrics, user satisfaction reporting, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on technology-enabled operational enhancements. Manage training and change management initiatives for Epic-related projects.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in insurance technology environments.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise with agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, and comparable platforms, including system configuration, workflow design, and integration capabilities. Direct experience with Applied Epic is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of insurance agency operations and core business processes.
  • Proficient in both agile and waterfall software development methodologies; experienced in working closely with Product and Technology teams. Strong knowledge of IT security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM) and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Experience leading agency management system migrations, data conversions, and mapping initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with strong training and change management capabilities to promote adoption of new systems and workflows.
  • Practical experience with disaster recovery planning, system integrations, and conducting data audits.
  • Skilled in supporting both on-premise and cloud-based technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of insurance technology platforms and tools, including those that support policy administration, client engagement, e-signature, document management, and workflow automation.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant fi eld (e.g., Information Systems, Business, or related discipline).

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $145,000 - $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
