Summary

The role of maintenance is to keep the building(s) and machines in running condition. Minimize downtime with planned maintenance and quick response to corrective maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Machine repair and maintenance which consists of the following skills:
  • Electrical troubleshooting - metal sawing equipment, welding equipment, CNC mills and lathes, manual machining equipment and presses.
  • Pneumatic troubleshooting of compressed air systems and tools
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic systems used in various applications in the shop.
  • Mechanical repair of above mentioned equipment
  • Vehicle fleet and forklift repair as needed
  • Building repair and maintenance
  • Install and repair building wiring: single and 3 phase circuits
  • Install and repair light fixtures, outlets, light switches
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment
  • Prep and paint building surfaces efficiently and effectively
  • Ceiling tile install/repair
  • Carpet installation/repair
  • Metal roof patch/repair
  • General installation of pictures, dry erase boards, etc....
  • Implementation of 5s+ Safety
  • Participate in Gemba walks to identify areas/items that need improvements
  • Repair/replace/enhance noted items on Gemba walks
  • Work with supervisors on sustaining Gemba improvements
  • Install or coordinate with outside contractors for safety initiated projects
  • Acquisitions-
  • Identify items that are required for repair/maintenance, source, procure and in some case inventory if necessary
  • Work with supply chain in the purchasing process.
  • Concur items that have been purchased with company CC
  • Archive all purchase requisitions
  • Service coordinator
  • Outsourcing vendors to assist with maintenance repair
  • Follow through, vendor completes job in timely manner and any billing issues

Other duties as assigned

Flatbed/cube truck driver

  • Broaching of parts- 9217
  • Snow clearing
  • Patching parking lot
  • Adjust building light timers both buildings
  • Monthly inspection of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting
