- The primary mission of this position is to lead zone specific internal T-Stage quality planning and execution strategies.
- Support QPL - qualified products list - to achieve established W/Body accuracy targets and overall Safety/Quality/Cost/Delivery Dept. targets as it relates to trial stage (T-Stage) Introduction. Monitor and coordinate zone equipment and build activities.
- The goal is to coordinate/facilitate zone Safety/Quality/Cost/Delivery metric target achievements through strong leadership and coordination of the overall Model Implementation / Maturation plan throughout T-Stage Introduction.
- This position is primarily a total zone Model Maturation/T-Stage Implementation leadership role which includes strategy planning, team coordination, execution management, department initiative support and leadership role.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage zone RASIC responsibilities for quality maturation and equipment installation; communicate with Honda's production engineering business unit (PEBU)and department to achieve Overall Model Implementation Targets
- Develop and actively lead model zone trial stage (T-Stage) strategy implementation and complex problem analysis
- Develop plans based on Model Spec Requirements to ensure overall Plant/Dept Safety/Quality/Cost/Delivery targets are met.
- Lead and prepare updates for associate training, cycle time, zone safety requirements, and quality metrics.
- Plan and support project schedules for T-Stage readiness, equipment install plan, and timing with PEBU
- Coordinate service parts build plan, including body prep and weldability verification plans.
- Execution of the training plan with production team. Summarize results to Dept and Plant 5%
- Support zone root cause analysis and problem tracking/investigations
- Zone readiness and checkout for production after T-Stage activities
Workstyle:
- 100% onsite - 5 days per workweek.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's in engineering, Project Management, Model Development or equivalent related experience
- 2 or more years in related field
- Other Job-Specific Skills: Ability to lead in a team environment. Effective communication
