Sony Semiconductor Solutions America (SSS-A) at Sony Electronics is seeking a high-impact Senior Product Marketing Manager with deep expertise in semiconductor sales and marketing-particularly in Sony Imaging products-to join our dynamic team in San Jose, California. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who has built a career at the intersection of cutting-edge imaging technology and strategic business development, with in-depth knowledge of the Bay Area market and its key players. Our ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in the semiconductor industry, hands-on experience with Sony Imaging solutions, and a proven ability to drive growth through customer engagement, product marketing, and solution selling. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and support design opportunities for Sony's image sensor products across a range of consumer and commercial applications (e.g., Smartphone, AR, VR, MR, Sports Camera, Factory Machine Vision Camera, etc.), with a strong emphasis on opportunities within the Bay Area market.

  • Lead sales and marketing initiatives to promote and drive adoption of Sony's next-generation image sensor technologies.

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with key customers and ecosystem partners (e.g., camera module vendors, lens and SoCs), with a focus on Sony Imaging products.

  • Monitor and analyze semiconductor and consumer electronics market trends to inform business strategy and product positioning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including counterparts in Japan, to influence product roadmaps and strategic planning for Sony Imaging solutions.

  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, and sales enablement.

  • Represent Sony at industry events and conferences; present whitepapers and gather market intelligence relevant to semiconductor imaging.

  • Negotiate complex business terms and conditions, including legal and liability clauses, to close purchase agreements, NDAs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor technologies, with a strong emphasis on image sensors and their integration into electronic systems.

  • Demonstrated experience with Sony Imaging products and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing within the semiconductor industry, ideally with a focus on imaging technologies.

  • Established relationships with major consumer electronics OEMs and related ecosystem vendors.

  • Strong English communication skills-both written and verbal-across all organizational levels.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

  • (Nice to have) Prior experience working for or with a Japanese-based organization.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $126,258.00to $168,344.00.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, a sign on payment, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
