Revenue Cycle Analyst - Johns Hopkins Hospital

Department: Revenue Cycle
Reports to: Revenue Cycle Director


Position Overview

Join our Revenue Cycle team as an Analyst responsible for optimizing revenue processes and ensuring seamless patient financial operations at Johns Hopkins Hospital. You'll serve as the primary liaison between hospital revenue cycle functions and the Consolidated Business Office, working collaboratively across departments to drive continuous improvement and ensure timely patient access to care.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or Finance. Experience may substitute for education (2 years experience = 1 year education, up to 8 years total).


Experience:
3-5 years of relevant hospital access, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle experience.


Remote Work Skills:
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines in a remote environment. Excellent communication skills for virtual collaboration across multiple departments.


Key Skills & Responsibilities




  • Act as liaison between hospital revenue cycle functions and Consolidated Business Office



  • Facilitate timely and accurate collection/verification of patient demographic and insurance information through interdepartmental collaboration



  • Work closely with JHHS Patient Financial Services, Case Mix, Regulatory Compliance, and JHM Office of Managed Care



  • Explore, propose, and implement operational, software, and technical solutions for workflow improvement



  • Maintain internal contacts with all departments having patient and revenue responsibilities



  • Analyze denied hospital claims using reporting to trend denials, identify root causes, and work with clinical departments to reduce denials

Salary Range: Minimum 26.12/hour - Maximum 43.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
