Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all LNG plant equipment; perform fire fighting; and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One year experience performing mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair is desirable.

Have knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits; hydraulic and pneumatic control systems; compressor repair and maintenance; inspection and calibration techniques; troubleshooting techniques; safety and emergency procedures; applicable codes. Basic computer skills.

TYPICAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Prepare all maintenance and operation logs, forms and reports accurately and legibly
  • Operate, repair, and maintain all LNG plant equipment including compressors (centrifugal and reciprocating), engines (gas turbine and reciprocating), boilers, vaporizers, pumps, hazard detection devices (UV, heat, smoke, spill and gas detectors), fiber optics, fire suppression equipment and security system devices according to written procedures
  • Operate computerized control systems and personal computers
  • Requisition needed materials using proper company procedure
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ensure good housekeeping is being maintained at the LNG facility
  • Operate, maintain, repair and perform fire protection and security for the LNG plant
  • Conduct inspections of the plant and components as specified by applicable codes or by supervisor
  • Monitor and report all plant functions, including those related to operating systems, fire protection systems, computerized control systems and security systems
  • Take daily gas meter reads and calculate all items on a daily gas report using personal computers
  • Operate and maintain gas chromatograph and other analysis equipment
  • Calibrate all devices related to LNG plant operation using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Troubleshoot all pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic devices and systems
  • The incumbent may work in or near the presence of escaping natural gas, and LNG at cryogenic temperatures
  • Give first aid
  • Respond to emergency situations, including fire and breaches of security
  • Promote good public relations
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner
  • Respond to emergency Code 1 leak/odor complaints
  • Operate heavy equipment (backhoe, manlift)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job


This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) under Title 49 CFR Part 382 and Part 40. Any applicant/employee who performs a DOT covered function or is licensed and would operate a commercial vehicle for the Company will be subject to drug and alcohol testing under the Company's DOT drug and alcohol testing programs. Any employment, transfer, or promotion offer made for this position is contingent upon taking and passing a drug test prior to the commencement of the new role. If an applicant/employee fails the drug test, any offer of employment, transfer, or promotion will be revoked.

SALARY DETAILS

$39.47 - $53.40
