Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the ready-to-drink beverage sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and food safety standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who fosters a culture of quality, engagement, and continuous improvement across all production processes. Hours are 5:45pm - 6:00am or 5:45am - 6:00pm on a 2-2-3 schedule. Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and internal quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
- Manage and respond to quality-related customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution and feedback.
- Act as the back-up to the Quality Supervisor.
Training & Development
- Provide training and support to production and quality teams on quality standards, food safety protocols, and best practices.
- Assess and identify training needs to improve team performance and product quality
Engagement & Communication
- Foster a culture of quality by engaging employees at all levels and encouraging their participation in quality initiatives.
- Facilitate regular meetings with team members to discuss quality performance, share updates, and gather feedback.
- Serve as the primary contact for quality-related inquiries within the plant and across the organization.
Performance Management
- Ensures clear expectations.
- Provides recognition and praise to encourage positive work behaviors and focus.
- Utilizes performance metrics to improve efficiency.
- Continually assesses team effectiveness needs and seeks resources to assist in team development.
- Review product on hold daily to determine disposition.
Risk Management & Food Safety
- Champion food safety standards and ensure compliance with sanitation procedures throughout the facility.
- Lead investigations into quality issues and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Process Improvement
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production, R&D, and supply chain, to drive cross-functional quality initiatives and ensure smooth implementation of new processes.
Training
- Ensures proper training, coaching and feedback to new employees.
- Assesses, identifies, and addresses training opportunities, including job skills training, goal setting; facilitates effective team meetings, and rewards and recognizes the team's progress.
- Ensures appropriate level and depth of cross training in each area through optimal use of all training tools and experience available.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in food science, Quality Assurance, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on quality assurance experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food packaging principles, industry quality standards, food safety regulations, and statistical process control.
- Experience with quality lab processes, certification program development (GMP, SQF, HACCP, FDA), and sanitation systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and related production management systems.
- Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining a positive team dynamic.
- Willingness to engage hands-on on the production floor, providing support across different shifts as needed.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting audits and inspections and managing quality-related projects.
Hours, Location and Pay: We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works 5:45pm to 6:00am or 5:45am to 6:00pm on a 2-2-3 schedule at our Neenah, WI manufacturing facility. Physical and Mental Demands:
