DevOps Engineer

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a DevOps Engineer. This is an onsite position located in in Annapolis Junction, MD and requires a TS/SCI w/CI Poly. This position will provide direct support to engineering platforms and microservices used to develop critical applications to modernize how data is leveraged across multiple DoD customers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop infrastructure, task automation, provision managed services, and leveraging Python, Ansible, and Terraform programming languages.
• Patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL
• Install, configure, and provide performance support for Kubernetes, Docker, Nifi, and cloud metrics collection tools.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab.
• Manage commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field and 5 years' experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong PaaS experience
• Experience with:
• Configuring and managing Linux operating systems
• Investigating and resolving technical issues
• Automated infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI
• Designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant solutions using AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation
• Deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters using Helm, Kustomize, and custom manifests
• Active Security+ certification or other 8570 Compliant certifications.

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph

US Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
