Cisco IT is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is interested in joining the IT development organization. You will have the opportunity to develop, integrate, test, and deploy highly scalable and robust software. As a Software Engineer at Cisco you will:

• Craft and develop private and public cloud software with integrated automation and monitoring tools
• Work with software development teams in an Agile DevOps model
• Operate within a highly Agile development environment.
• End-to-End System Ownership from design to develop to deploy and include AI into the fabric of execution
• Solve complex problems with accelerated development methodologies with a secure application posture.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience demonstrating a strong foundation in software development.
• Front-End Expertise: 5+ years of dedicated software development experience with a strong emphasis on modern front-end frameworks, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with React or Angular.
• Back-End & Data Proficiency: Proven experience working with cloud platforms and streaming technologies, robust knowledge of Java and caching mechanisms, and practical experience with Elasticsearch and CockroachDB.
• Data Systems & Architecture: Minimum 5 years of experience working with complex data structures, Kafka, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and analytics.
• 1 year of minimum experience using AI in the SDLC with in-depth knowledge of building engineering productivity and reducing cycle time

• Advanced Degree & Experience: Ideally, you'll have a Master's degree along with at least 3 years of professional experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in your field.
