Staffmark is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a well-established industrial team in Montebello, CA. If
you're detail-oriented, familiar with metal components, and have a background in industrial shipping/receiving, this could be your next great opportunity.

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00/hour (based on experience)

What You'll Do:

In this hands-on role, you'll help ensure materials and finished parts move efficiently through the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting on-time deliveries.

Receiving Duties:



  • Unload incoming shipments using forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Inspect items for quality, quantity, damage, and dimensional accuracy using tools like calipers, micrometers, and measuring tape
  • Match shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and bills of lading
  • Package and crate finished metal parts securely for outbound shipments
  • Confirm correct part numbers, quantities, and packaging specifications before shipping
  • Store incoming materials in designated areas
  • Track usage, maintain organization, and report inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
  • Report any damaged or missing items to supervisors
  • Operate forklifts and lifting equipment safely in accordance with OSHA standards
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling metal components
  • Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, organized, and compliant



Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in industrial shipping/receiving
  • Comfortable using precision measuring tools
  • Forklift experience required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with metal parts/components a plus
