Summary:

In this position, the Information Systems Administrator will work with the Operations Coordinator and uniformed personnel assigned to the MATSS to assist with information systems administration, asset management, and other responsibilities as may be assigned.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the MATSS IT Manager in the set-up, operation, maintenance, and accountability of all hardware, software, and other IT assets at the MATSS level.
  • Conduct regular inventories of MATSS assets and reports results to the MATSS.
  • Assist uniform personnel in distributing arriving Flight Information Products to Training activities instructors and aircrew.
  • Assist uniform personnel in cataloging newly received NATOPS manuals and Pocket Checklists Assist uniform personnel in maintaining all check-in /out practices for publications.
  • Assist uniform personnel in organizing and restocking missing or misplaced publications in all briefing rooms.
  • Establish and maintain help desk activities at the MATSS level to meet the needs of local users.
  • Track and respond to help desk issues.
  • Actively engage in customer support to help resolve IT-Related issues and provides answers promptly.
  • Assist in implementing servers, workstations, operating systems, and application software.
  • Assist in the implementation of additions, deletions, and all modifications to the system infrastructure.
  • Monitor the security, system backups, archiving, and troubleshoots system errors Operate the MATSS Schoolhouse test domain.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Minimum Qualifications:

  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA: Security+ or CySA+)
  • Minimum five (5) or more years' experience working in Information Systems
  • Must be knowledgeable of U.S. Marine Corps, familiarity with U.S. Marine Corps Aviation is highly desired
  • Must be highly proficient using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree Highly
  • Proficient using SharePoint
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
