We are hring for a Mid Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for a position supporting a federal law enforcement agency. This posiiton requiers an Active Top Secret security clearance to be considered.



Responsibilities

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mid-level Information Security Officer with 4+ years of experience that will support the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of a life-cycle security model that develops, maintains, and dispositions of the customer. The ISSO will be part of a team that will focus on security analysis of systems, applications, networks and controlled interfaces to ensure they are operated and maintained in accordance with security policies and practices and reports all information system security incidents through the appropriate customer channels.

Key Responsibilities:

    Perform as a contributor in development of security process and document within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Help assess information protection meets mission and business needs
  • Contribute insight in the selection of applicable security controls and best practices
  • Assist with the design and collaborate on system security architecture
  • Help perform vulnerability and risk assessment for certification and accreditation
  • Participate in the evaluation of security solutions for compliance with classified data handling
  • Help update system security plans and related IA documentation
  • Help assess operational security posture and day-to-day security operations
  • Help assess security impact of system updates
  • Take part in configuration and change management for security-relevant components
  • Participate in development of detailed security designs including trade-off analysis
  • Propose, implement, and enforce information security policies and standards
  • Help track and maintain records of hardware/software/network security assets
  • Assist with evaluating and integrating security solutions

Technical Experience or Knowledge

  • Minimum of 4+ years of security experience as an ISSO or equivalent position
  • Demonstrate experience or have intermediate knowledge of the following tools:
    • JCAM (Joint Cybersecurity Authorization Management)
    • Telos Xacta
    • GitLab
    • Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Splunk
    • BigFix
    • Tenable Security Center

Education/Certifications/Skills

  • Associate's degree in Systems Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Demonstrated expertise through advanced certifications will be considered a significant asset in candidate resume for the following or equivalent certifications:
    • CompTIA Cloud+
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
    • AWS Certified Security - Specialty
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
  • Agile Practitioner Certifications, preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
