Employment Type: Full-Time (Contingent upon contract award)

Job Location: Remote (Northern Virginia). Be available to periodically support meetings at HQ DLA (Fort Belvoir, VA) or other places of performance in the National Capital Region.

Overview:
Nationwide IT is seeking a Middleware Administrator for a potential opportunity projecting long-range requirements for database administrators and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function. They will be responsible for installing, designing, creating, and maintaining Middleware solutions in a client/server environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quality control and auditing of Middleware installations in a client/server
environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Advises users on access to Middleware applications. Deploys user applications in the Middleware installation. Works with Application developers to ensure connectivity to databases. Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves):
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience administering Middleware solutions (e.g., Oracle Fusion Middleware).
  • At least three years' hands-on experience and expertise in Application deployment, testing, tuning and security.
  • Experience also shall include the ability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages.
  • Experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale application.

Required Experience: Performing the following Tasks/Responsibilities:
Perform database programming and support systems design. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, adherence to standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design.
