What Does the Job Involve?
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for working closely with site managers and the HR team in the administration of a variety of HR programs and activities, including benefits, job descriptions, compensation and retirement plans, and HR policies and procedures.
What Will My Day to Day Be Like?
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leaves, and retirement programs.
- Assists employees with various information including but not limited to providing benefits plan information.
- Creates various benefit and compliance reports utilizing Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Maintains employment records systems updated in ADP/Kronos with employee data changes.
- Processes, verifies, enrolls and maintains employee-related documents, i.e. verification of employment, unemployment claims, dependent verification, life events changes, etc.
- May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department and may assist with payroll processing.
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with supervisors and peers throughout the company.
- Delivers exceptional internal and external customer service for the company.
- Handles information/material confidentially.
- Coordinates open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
- Creates and distributes internal communications.
- Facilitates Open Enrollment session and is involved in needs assessments and recommendations.
- Helps with refining and streamlining HR processes to ensure accuracy and improvements.
- Recommends measures for improving employee benefits. May perform plan audits.
- Stays current with knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting.

- Strong detail-oriented skills.
What Qualifications Should I Have?
- Bachelor's Degree and/or the equivalent of experience and education.
- Experience: 3 yrs of HR experience with 2 years of related benefits experience. Experience in the aerospace or industrial/manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Experience with ADP Workforce Now with report writing is a must.
