Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C. Quality Department has an opening for an Assembly Operations Quality Assurance Technician in our Harahan facility. This position will work Monday-Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM, with overtime and weekend work that may be required as needed.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Interpret product specifications and tolerances on quality drawings accurately during inspections
  • Support critical success factors and continuous improvement efforts
  • Lead root cause and corrective action efforts with production
  • Assist in the documentation of non-conformances and containment of non-conforming product
  • Use data, standards, and necessary quality tools to make consistent and principle-based decisions, such as when providing a disposition for non-conforming product
  • Utilize technical audit program by performing audits plantwide
  • Initiate and support the setting and updating of product specifications
  • Manage and improve documentation of processes and procedures
  • Provide urgent support to production and effectively elevates issues when needed
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality training program
  • Maintains equipment calibration and calibration logs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher education in a technical field (fields of mechanics, information technology, mathematics, science, etc.)
  • 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing quality environment or plastics injection molding
  • Proficiency in basic computer software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of the following: quality concepts, quality tools, probability, statistics, calibrations, and metrology
  • Strong analytical and critical problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Up-to-date professional quality certifications (ASQ, QAI, CSSC, etc.)
  • Passion for learning and growth with ability to manage own tasks and meet goals and objectives with little supervision
  • Demonstration of sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with strong ability to seek buy in on all levels
  • Proven track record of making consistent, logical, and objective decisions using good judgment
  • Ability to assume good intentions and exhibit trust in workplace relationships
