Data Bricks Engineer

Location:Washington DC
Clearance: Secret Clearance Required
Salary Range:$90-160k + benefits

KeyLogic is seeking a highly skilled Data Bricks Engineer for potential work to support our federal client in designing, developing, and optimizing big data workflows using the Databricks platform. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines that support analytics and machine learning initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar big data platforms.
  • Proficiency in PySpark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake.
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP (Azure preferred).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Databricks certification (e.g., Data Engineer Associate or Professional).
  • Experience with ML model lifecycle management using MLflow.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices for Databricks jobs and notebooks.
  • Exposure to REST APIs, event streaming (Kafka), or real-time data processing.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
