Job Description
PCI is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager for its PCI LYMO operations based in Londonderry, NH. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects encompassing the exterior envelope: Glass/Glazing, MCM and aluminum plate rainscreen panels, Insulated metal panels, single skin metal panels, and various specialty panel systems
- Establish labor productivities for estimate.
- Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.
- Responsible for the buyout of subcontractors
- Accountable for results to meet business objectives for revenue and margin.
- Build solid customer relations with all customers.
- Build customer relations through events, gatherings, and outings.
- Assign bids and coordinates bid calendar.
- Oversite of the estimating department.
- Uses available technology to perform job tasks efficiently.
- Creates strong morale and spirit in their team and defines success in terms of the whole team.
This role is safety-sensitive.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Preconstruction Manager or leading an estimating team/department.
- Experience with commercial exterior construction; glass/glazing, MCM and aluminum plate rainscreen panels, insulated metal panels, single skin metal panels, and various specialty panel systems.
- Working knowledge of all PCI applications including Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff.
- Ability to work with numerous contractors and sub-contractors in an efficient manner.
- Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work.
- High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
- Ability to train, motivate, and inspire those around them.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
- Experience with working with union representatives is preferred.
- Local to Londonderry, NH area is preferred
