The Challenge The Development Experience engineering team is looking for a software engineer who relishes the challenge of improving the team's efficiency and insight through automation.
- Design and develop automated processes to enhance and enable developer workflows
- Maintain and support internal multi-language tools
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to discover ways to increase developer efficiency and productivity
- Work closely with engineering team members to integration new developer workflow solutions into daily processes
- Work well both independently and collaboratively within a fast-moving global development team with clear, positive, and constructive communication
- Positively influence the culture and mindset of the team and Engineering Operations organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor or higher in related field
- Experience developing software for different devices and platforms
- Familiarity with automated building and testing of desktop, service, and web-delivered software
- Passion for version control as a way of life
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience administering Linux, Mac, and Windows systems
- Familiarity and experience with relevant automation technologies:
- CI/CD automation tools:CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
- Cluster automation and infrastructure tools: Ansible, Kubernetes/Nomad, Docker, EngFlow
- Version controls:Git and GitHub
- Languages and command lines: Bash/ZSH, Python, TypeScript, Node
- Build tools and package managers: Webpack, Bazel, RushJS, NPM, RSPack
- Databases, Queues and Pub/Subs: NoSQL, RDBMS, Kafka
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and OpenStack
- Experience creating metrics dashboards a plus
- Experience with test automation tools/framework like Playwright, Selenium, Test Studio or KIF a plus
- Experience with Agile development processes including Scrum
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $133,900 -- $242,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
