Bring Merchandising to Life - The Whole Foods Market WayThe Principal Program Manager, Merchandising Presentation Capabilities and Operations at Whole Foods Market will be responsible for independently managing complex projects from start to finish. You will define the value proposition, develop the work plan, determine resource needs, and establish project timelines and budgets. You will organize and drive the necessary resources to ensure project objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and on budget. Your responsibilities will include overall project planning, strategic direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-project evaluation. You will ensure that project scope, planning, and implementation align with both stakeholder expectations and broader business needs. You'll also maintain alignment across multiple concurrent projects. In addition, you will define, implement, and consult on project management standards, processes, and tools to support strong execution across relevant teams and initiatives.This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manages complex projects requiring collaboration across multiple functions.
  • Manages cross-functional project teams comprised of diverse (for example, business, operational, technical) Team Members.
  • Plays a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools to enable effective project management and success.
  • Manages projects with complex business, operational, technical, and other challenges.
  • Determines and coordinates sharing of leveraged resources among projects.
  • Defines, implements, and consults on project management standards / processes for relevant teams or projects.

  • Expert understanding of WFM's project management methodologies and requirements.
  • Expert ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
  • Advanced capability to oversee and advise on project management issues and assist with overcoming barriers.
  • Expert ability to keep multiple projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.

  • Develops complex solutions to business problems through in-depth analyses and coordination / negotiation with key decision makers.
  • Uses experience, innovation, and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information.
  • Considers enterprise-wide implications of decisions and recommendations.
  • Leverages understanding of the customer base, market, and industry to drive project-related decisions and recommendations.

The wage range for this position is $100,244.00-$170,415.00 Annual, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
