Property Tax Coordinator - Hybrid
Pay Rate: $45,000 - $55,000

Are you detail-oriented, highly organized, and ready to support a dynamic compliance team in a fast-paced professional environment? A Syracuse law firm is looking for a Property Tax Coordinator to join their team and assist with a wide range of property tax and economic development compliance responsibilities.
What You`ll Do:
- Track tax filing dates, payment deadlines, and appeal periods using detailed spreadsheets.
- Assist with client communications and relationship management in collaboration with the Compliance Team.
- Coordinate with local tax assessors and collectors to resolve property tax account issues.
- Help prepare and file property tax returns, exemption applications, and other required documents.
- Review and enter property tax bills into our tax management system.
- Support preparation of monthly tax payment projections and documentation.
- Assist with registering entities for tax filings in multiple states.
- Review PILOT and abatement agreements and create summary spreadsheets.
- Ensure timely compliance filings for economic development projects.
- Track sales tax exemptions and complete exemption forms for IDA projects.
- Maintain construction contract tracking sheets and compliance checklists.
- Assist with Excelsior tax credit performance workbooks and economic incentive applications.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work environment in compliance with all safety protocols.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience in a professional services setting-preferably in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
- Strong communication skills; able to interact with attorneys, firm leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) and Kofax PDF.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills with a strong sense of initiative.
- Ability to work independently while being proactive in asking for guidance when needed.
- Comfortable meeting frequent deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
