Applies various engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to analyze operational data/methods, identify performance improvement opportunities, and/or implement technology systems that meet business objectives. Essential Functions
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g. mathematics) required. Preferred disciplines may be needed in the areas of: AUTOMATION & SYSTEMS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field FACILITIES & MATERIAL HANDLING ENGINEERING: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related. FACILITIES & MATERIAL HANDLING PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field . INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER & PROCESS: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field. OPERATIONS RESEARCH, PLANNING & ANALYSIS:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field FACILITIES & MATERIAL HANDLING PROCUREMENT ENGINEERING: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY SECURITY ENGINEERING: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or IT Security related field . Minimum Experience Four (4) years experience required in technical area. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications. Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management. Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals. Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs. Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions. Ability to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employees. More specific skills may be needed in the areas of: AUTOMATION & SYSTEMS: FACILITIES & MATERIAL HANDLING PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Knowledge of project management concepts and project lifecycle. Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Knowledge of concepts related to construction and/or machine design. INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER & PROCESS: Working knowledge of statistical programming language (e.g., SAS). Knowledge of project management concepts and project lifecycle. OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY: Knowledge of project management concepts and project lifecycle. FACILITIES & MATERIAL HANDLING PROCUREMENT ENGINEER: Knowledge of project management concepts and project lifecycle. Knowledge of a procurement lifecycle. Technical knowledge of goods or services to be procured. Knowledge of supply chain management. Knowledge of concepts related to construction and/or machine design. OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY SECURITY ENGINEERING: Knowledge of interconnected systems in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of FedEx OT devices and security vulnerabilities. Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and security vulnerabilities. Knowledge of InfoSec requirements. Job Conditions Some travel required Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
