Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Administrative Manager for Rutgers Occupational Health. Reporting to the Medical Director, the Administrative Manager is accountable for the daily operations of the Occupational Health Department.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Supervises nursing and support staff directly, and determines their assignments and schedules ensuring efficient and effective provision of services.
- Assures that occupational health services meet the needs of the university community and is compliant with existing laws, regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Develops and maintains OHD's policies and procedures with input from clinical staff.
- Provides direct nursing care, case management and other duties as assigned by Medical Director.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Registered Nurse.
- Five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial/supervisory capacity.

Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.
CPR Certification.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Skill in writing and in public speaking.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation Regulations.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Computer literacy in industry standard software (MS Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point: ZOOM, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications |
- Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
- Two (2) years of case management experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center with extensive experience in triage, and treatment of injuries and occupational exposures.
- Working knowledge of running a medical office practice.
