Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Program Leader to manage and lead the sales programs at our plant. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the aerospace sector, sales strategy, and program management to effectively drive business growth, customer engagement, and overall sales performance. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing sales initiatives, fostering customer relationships, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of products and services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Program Management:
    Oversee and manage aerospace manufacturing sales programs, from initial lead generation through to the final sale and delivery. Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with organizational goals and customer requirements.
  • Customer Engagement:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, maintaining strong, long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients. Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs, ensuring satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure sales programs are executed seamlessly and on time. Act as the liaison between the customer and internal teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
    Lead the preparation of accurate sales forecasts, and ensure all sales activities are tracked and reported to senior leadership. Provide regular updates on program performance, market trends, and potential opportunities.
  • Contract Negotiation & Pricing:
    Lead negotiations with customers on contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Ensure profitability while maintaining competitive pricing strategies in line with market conditions and internal costs.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
    Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities, understand competitive dynamics, and align sales strategies with current market conditions. Propose and implement effective strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer bases.
  • Sales Team Leadership & Development:
    Lead and mentor a sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide training and guidance to sales representatives, ensuring the team's professional development and the successful execution of sales programs.
  • Sales Metrics & KPIs:
    Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales program success, ensuring that targets for revenue, profit margins, and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving:
    Identify potential risks and obstacles to program success, and develop mitigation plans. Address any challenges that arise during the sales cycle, ensuring timely resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Awareness:
    Ensure that all sales activities are in compliance with aerospace industry regulations and quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Adhere to company policies and procedures in all aspects of the sales process.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales within the aerospace manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or program management role. Proven success in managing sales programs and customer relationships is required.
  • Skills:
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma, or similar certifications are desirable.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace Standards: Familiarity with industry certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001), aerospace regulations, and customer-specific requirements is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as needed to customer sites, industry events, and conferences (both domestically and internationally).
  • Occasional onsite presence at the manufacturing plant.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $107,400 to $130,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
