A Taste of What You'll Do

Retail Service Support Worker assists their teammates with the smooth running of the Retail Sales Room. They are a primary Customer Service representative at Rombauer Vineyards ensuring a dedication to the highest quality of customer satisfaction delivered with a sense of graciousness, pride, fun, and company spirit. They ensure excellent customer service by providing a clean, efficient and organized workspace. They also provide a positive product image to all visitors. Assists with hospitality special events as needed.

  • Facility and Guest Support: Assist with wine tasting and tours, ensuring areas are equipped with necessary tools and literature, and maintain cleanliness in all guest and staff areas.
  • Retail Sales and Inventory Management: Prepare and maintain the Retail Sales Room, manage stock levels for wine, water, and merchandise, and assist guests with purchases.
  • Event and Experience Coordination: Welcome and check-in guests, manage reservations, and provide necessary items for a seamless guest experience, including special occasion preparations.
  • Outdoor Space Maintenance: Keep patio and parking areas clean, maintain displays, and manage outdoor furniture and equipment, such as heaters and umbrellas.
  • Point of Sale and Customer Service: Handle orders, reservations, and inquiries through the POS system, ensuring accuracy and providing excellent customer service.
  • Facility Management and Reporting: Report facility issues urgently and manage trash and recycling removal, supporting overall facility upkeep.
  • Additional Duties: Occasionally assist with shipping tasks, perform data entry for wine club, and support fellow staff members in various roles as needed.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Experience in a team-oriented environment.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Skilled in carrying-out simple instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Required to be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to work holidays, evenings and weekends. Work schedule subject to change based on needs of the business.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • Associates degree; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of hospitality or customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience in wine industry.
  • Experience in Point of Sale (Commerce 7 and Tock) systems
