Responsibilities

The IDIQ Project Controller will oversee and support Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) projects, ensuring seamless project execution from inception to completion. This role requires the ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage all aspects of the construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, safety, and project closeout. The ideal candidate will excel in subcontractor coordination, schedule management, and field execution. As a working lead, this position involves direct involvement in project tasks and requires hands-on support for field projects and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage projects within the IDIQ framework, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of project requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of construction projects awarded under IDIQ Task Orders, from initial planning to final closeout
  • Develop scopes of work, project estimates and project proposals
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements, including safety and environmental regulations
  • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work and adherence to quality standards
  • Communicate regularly with the client to provide project status updates and ensure their satisfaction with project progress
  • Manage project change orders and scope changes to ensure they are properly documented and approved
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the work is being performed in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and project reports

Qualifications

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Ability to obtain & maintain an HSPD-12 Clearance required

  • High school diploma or GED with minimum 6+ years of experience in the following:

    • Project management skills, including the ability to maintain schedules and budgets

    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

    • Knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials

    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

    • Subcontractor and vendor management skills

    • Working with trade technicians and managers of different disciplines

    • Working with CMMS or other programs that support maintenance operations for various assets, equipment, and facilities.

    • Facility Operations and/or Equipment Maintenance experience and familiarity with terms common mechanical and electrical industry terms.

    • Strong aptitude in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) and SharePoint to create effective management and status reports.

    • Proficient in technical writing, creating formal requests, generating proposals, and supporting project documentation.
