UC San Diego Health is seeking an outstanding clinical pharmacist to support the Investigational Drug Service (IDS). The IDS pharmacist will provide assistance in the coordination and maintenance in the Pharmacy efforts of delivering investigational medications to the research subjects at UCSD. Key Functions: - Serves as the liaison between the study team, protocol sponsor, and nursing to coordinates the drug therapy from a pharmacy standpoint. Provides lT support to IDS at an expert level that include treatment plan build in EPIC. Leads and actively participates in investigational Pharmacy Service initiatives involving: education for pharmacy residents and fellows, clinical research, professional development, and performance improvement. Provides guidance and mentorship to the IDS pharmacy technicians and the designated teams. Upon the request of the manager, attends various meetings at IRB (Institutional Review Board) and/or Protocol Scientific Review Board, to provide pharmacy input at an expert level on investigational drug protocols. Under general supervision, responsible for provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients, according to standards established by the Department of Pharmacy. Serve as preceptor to pharmacy residents and students as assigned. Participate in Medical Center and Departmental committees and promote institution-wide medication use policy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $179,631 - $202,244 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $86.03 - $96.86 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
