Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Enforce that all elements of Food Safety within the plant are being met
  • Involved in the day-to-day operations of their department.
  • Oversee any disciplinary measures, and that their employees follow the Company's Policies/Procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Hi-Lo fleet within their facility.
  • Responsible for purchase order confirmation, yard management, and employee training within their department.
  • Verify, as needed, that all Shipping employees have inspected the trailer prior to loading to ensure that the trailer is in overall good condition and sanitary.
  • Verify, as needed, that their employees ensure raw ingredients, WIP, and packaging materials match the item specified on the Bill of Loading, that the product is within expiration date, and that the correct revision numbers on the bulk or film are correct.
  • Verify, as needed, that their employees are setting up all product movement within their facility. This includes the unloading and loading of trailers and monitoring material requirements to have items available to support the production schedule. This also includes setting up materials for the upcoming shift.
  • Periodically review paperwork within their department to ensure that all employees are properly executing their processes correctly.
  • Ensure that all RBC Allergen are being followed within their department.
  • Verify/ Facilitate annual training
  • Verify HI-lo Inspections have been completed for every shift.
  • Verify all staff are up to date on training (HILO & SOP)
  • Scheule Labor & Monitor Warehouse Conditions
  • Verify all hours are submitted in Workday, also approve hours in Workday for weekly payroll
  • S1 - Back up Bulk Receiver when they are out
  • In the absence of the Shipping manger, participate in plant management meetings, be a part of and actively participate on the food safety team
