The Integrated Innovation Institute at Carnegie Mellon University breaks down the silos that impede innovation. We believe that by uniting the disciplines of engineering, design, and business, we can build impactful solutions that create value for real people.

The Educational Program Assistant is responsible for the daily orchestration of the Center for Leadership Studies, including supporting the Executive Director of the Center and the Executive Fellows (faculty) in the orchestration of undergraduate leadership seminars and related activities

Responsibilities:

  • The ability to commit for the entire 25-26 academic year at 10+ hours/week Graduate (master's degree) standing on the foundation of having taken one of the Center's leadership seminars as an undergraduate (undergraduates will be considered, on this foundation);
  • A philosophical commitment to the vision of the Center, and the ability to bring a student/young professional perspective to curriculum development, assigned media, course management, and student development
  • Technical skills sufficient to assist with such production matters as mass and merged emails, presentation software, basic database and information systems management, and office equipment (printers, monitors) oversight
  • Event management and the ability to plan for, set-up, and host various events, including arranging for or directly providing (pick-up, delivery and set-up) food and beverages for events as well as ongoing activities (coffee/beverages/food)
  • Regular availability on select early mornings and early evenings for event set up
  • The ability to work successfully with our support team and notably our business and administrative colleagues in the Integrated Innovation Institute
  • An outgoing and engaging personality to reinforce the core values of engagement and tactical savvy in delivering on our mission.
