Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm
Up to 20 hours/week

OVERVIEW:

Working as Part-time IT Database Administrator PT, you will be responsible for data management across the enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Managing databases across an Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NOSQL Database technology stack

o Troubleshooting data replication and integrity across the enterprise

o Performing and tuning along with SQL & PL/SQL development

o Writing and maintaining technical support documentation for applications

o Adhering to security best practices, access control, and security policies

o Demonstrates day-to-day adherence with change control concepts and practices

o Providing 24x7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess or working towards a degree in IT, Business, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or related field of study OR possess 3 years of work experience in a Database administration/management position

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Demonstrable knowledge in scripting and performance tuning

o Proficient computer skills

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Prior experience with Linux Operating Systems

o Prior experience with scripting fundamentals

o Prior experience managing database technologies in an on premise, as well as public and private cloud deployments (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.)

COMPENSATION:

The pay range for this position is $40/hr -60/hr.
