Senior Accountant -Office of Comptroller Annual Salary Range: $58,677 - $87,984 Closing Date: September 2, 2025 Or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions. Job Summary: The principal purpose of this position is to support the Central Accounting team. This is done through the creation of exhibits for the Single Audit, drafting exhibits for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and assisting external auditors with the annual audit of Milwaukee County governmental reporting, investment reporting, fund monitoring, account reconciliations, and providing technical support to other areas. Required Skills and Abilities: Team player with the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with both co-workers and external contacts. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and expected to stay up to date with changes in GAAP, GASB, and FASB. Read and write routine reports, correspondences, and speak effectively before both internal and external groups. Read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Understand and follow instructions, analysis/reasoning, communication/interpretation, math/mental computation, problem solving, and composing reports.
