Sentry's Claims IT department is seeking a Software Quality Analyst to assist with the ongoing growth and support needs of Sentry's Claims department. You will be a member of the Claims IT organization participating within team(s) that develop new software, maintain and enhance existing software that further enable and improve Sentry's Claims operations. This position can be filled as an Associate Software Quality Analyst or a Software Quality Analyst based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

  • Contribute: You'll be a member of a Claims IT development team that collaborates with our business partners to build innovative IT systems. You will apply your skills by performing job functions such as:

    • Analyze, estimate, develop and execute comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies.

    • Conduct risk analysis of changes to system(s) while considering customer impact and system requirements.

    • Documenting, tracking, reporting of system bugs/defects and re-execution of testing strategies to ensure the changes meet the system requirements.

    • Work closely with Engineers/Product Analysts to solve complex issues and define project plans.

  • What it Takes:

    • Associate Degree in Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Bachelors Degree preferred.

    • Minimum of 1 year related work experience, 2 years related work experience preferred.

    • Strong communication skills - written, verbal.

    • Understanding of insurance industry practices, along with knowledge in automated testing tools, methodologies and IT testing techniques and concepts preferred.

    • Experienced in Microsoft applications.
