Requisition Summary

PACCAR is looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel for its Bellevue, Washington headquarters. The Senior Corporate Counsel will proactively advise PACCAR's U.S. and Canadian divisions with regard to commercial and financial transactions. The position reports to the General Counsel and will work closely with PACCAR's senior business leaders.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic legal and business counsel on a wide variety of commercial, financial, compliance, and corporate governance issues relating to PACCAR's principal lines of business.
  • Draft, analyze, and negotiate complex commercial and finance contracts, including procurement, sales/distribution, leasing, and strategic partnership agreements.
  • Monitor regulatory and compliance developments and provide timely and proactive advice and training to the business teams.
  • Manage the work and expense of external counsel as needed in alignment with PACCAR's strategic and budgetary goals.
Qualifications
  • At least 10-15 years of experience practicing corporate and commercial law. Prior in-house legal department experience and experience in the manufacturing sector preferred.
  • Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and collegial.
  • Comfortable managing numerous tasks, prioritizing deadlines, and working independently.
  • Willingness to work from the Corporate office and travel, as necessary.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing from a state bar.
