Summary of Job Duties:The Senior Applications Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Supply Chain Contract Services and is responsible for delivering analytical and project management support to the UAMS Contract Services and Value Analysis teams. The individual in this position will play a critical role in the development and advancement of strategic sourcing, cost reduction, and clinical integration initiatives across all clinical programs where supplies are used. Perform workflow and systems analysis and design related to new applications, system enhancements (i.e. reporting needs, system configuration changes, upgrades, etc.). To be successful in this role the incumbent will draw heavily on a combination of data analytics, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills to support evidence-based decision making and drive alignment between clinical, financial and quality priorities. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in business, finance, project management, supply chain, nursing or related degree plus (four) 4 years of experience in managing projects or clinical supplies OR High School Diploma plus (eight) 8 years of experience in managing projects or clinical supplies.

* Experience managing projects or clinical supplies.

* Excellent verbal and written skills.

* Excellent presentation skills.

* Experience and skills communicating proactively with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

* Strong analytical and time management skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

* Demonstrable experience creating and maintaining project documentation including, but not limited to schedules, work breakdown structures, issues and risks assessments, budget reporting, follow-up reports, team communications, and overall project reporting.

* Proficient in with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Masters in business administration, Finance, Project Management, or Value Analysis

* Five (5) plus years of experience in supply chain management. Financial management, Project Management or Analytics in a clinical setting or non-clinical setting.

* Experience with Workday, Epic, Power BI or Tableau SQL or similar healthcare ERP and Clinical platforms

* Lean Sigma Six certification or Project Management certification

* Knowledge of Vizient (GPO) and Captis Aggregation Group contracts

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:
* Collect and analyze clinical supply spend data to identify and advance opportunities for supply cost improvement.
* Collect and analyze clinical supply utilization data to develop and advance supply standardization opportunities across UAMS.
* Develop and facilitate analysis summaries and presentations for both internal stakeholder and external vendor meetings.
* Ensure accurate data is being collected and used to forecast spending and reimbursement projections.
* Present analysis to various groups such as clinical stakeholders, business, financial and service line stakeholders, as well as to Sr. Leadership stakeholders.
* Deliver consultative interpretation of data analysis to stakeholders, including but not limited to, complex cost improvement opportunities based on various combinations of spend within a product category.
* Maintain awareness and alignment with relevant procurement and institutional policies, ensuring compliance where applicable.
* Manage multiple value analysis projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and initiative deliverables are met.
* Develop initiative project plans including schedules, scope, risk assessments, communication, testing, training, and implementation strategy.
* Lead and support system-wide supply product conversions that support improvements in supply cost and quality outcome metrics.
* Coordinate the transition of product changes with all stakeholders and assign tasks as required.
* Manage project close-out by ensuring the project sponsor/champion and stakeholders agree that the project deliverables have been met.
* Assist in design and development of data collection strategies, aggregation, analysis, and reporting to ensure data integrity and enhanced information value.
* Create reporting tools and processes, such as dashboards or visualizations that allow key stakeholders to clearly understand the data and to make informed business decisions.
* Design and implement Epic and systems reporting, including gathering requirements, planning, roll out, and end-user applications.
* Design, enhance and maintain reporting and dashboards.
* Provide oversight for the content, format & production of regular & ad hoc reports.
* Collaborate with expense reduction partners such as Avant Garde and Vizient/Captis (GPO) to gather, analyze, identify and recommend supply expense reduction initiatives to senior leaders.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, procurement, operational and support teams to optimize standardization where opportunities exist.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders within each Value Analysis Team cost improvement initiative to ensure all aspects of a contract or product change have been gathered and included in the analysis to achieve a viable decision.
* Collaborate with Contract Services to ensure supply contracts are executed efficiently.
* Performs other duties as assigned
