Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all production employees, operations, and processes within one or more divisions. The main objectives of this role are to monitor and analyze employee and equipment performance and downtime, identify opportunities to improve utilization through continuous improvement, manage maintenance and repairs of company property, manage development and implementation of standard operating procedures, participate in capital expense requests for new plant, property, and equipment, ensure compliance with customer and regulatory compliance, partner will all departments, manage bids and contract proposals, negotiates and manages contracts with operations related vendors and participates in annual budget planning process.

Qualifications



  • Associate's Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in steel or related manufacturing
  • Experience with implementing and monitoring quality standards
  • Bilingual- English, Spanish
  • Knowledge of steel industry and product/machine knowledge
  • Knowledge of inventory management, customer service, budgets, and quality control
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Skilled at reengineering operations, creating policies, and implementing new strategies
  • Skilled at communicating with all employees
  • Ability to train employees on various safety, quality, inventory, and other operations items
