Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

This position requires an active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI.
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a U.S. Citizen.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide direct mental health services to military service members, families, and personnel in support of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). This role includes conducting psychological evaluations, establishing diagnoses, delivering evidence-based treatment, and supporting the psychological resilience of patients across individual, couple, and group therapy settings. The LCSW must function independently and provide expert-level care in high-demand military environments.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for LCSW: $
Pay commensurate with experience.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver clinical social work services in accordance with professional standards, licensing board requirements, and MTF privileges.
  • Comply with Army OTSG/MEDCOM, DHA, and Combatant Command Force Health Protection policies, including those related to deployment.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and psychological evaluations using clinical interviews and collateral information.
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses per DSM criteria and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, couple, and group psychotherapy services across various clinical needs.
  • Support medical and surgical patients in managing psychological effects of illness or injury.
  • Respond to crisis situations and participate in critical incident event management and debriefing.
  • Assist in rehabilitation planning and long-term mental health recovery efforts.
  • Provide clinical peer reviews and consultation to behavioral health staff and leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver formal briefings to senior military and civilian leaders.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested:

Education:

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited institution.

Certifications & Licensure:

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in any U.S. state, territory, or jurisdiction.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must be current and maintained).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years within the past 5 years practicing clinical social work post-licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years within the past 5 years in clinical psychology or equivalent behavioral health services.
  • Must have conducted clinical peer reviews within the past 2 years.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Behavioral interventions and trauma-focused counseling
    • Critical incident response and debriefings
    • Case management and integrated care planning
    • Public speaking and leadership briefings

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to practice independently without clinical supervision mandates.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines, evidence-based therapies, and clinical standards.
  • Proficient in psychological diagnosis and treatment planning under DSM criteria.
  • Skilled in providing services to individuals of diverse backgrounds, including enlisted personnel and command staff.
  • Familiarity with military lifestyle, operational tempo, and family systems is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in preparing and delivering high-level presentations and mental health training.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong organizational, crisis management, and documentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, emotional maturity, and leadership in sensitive environments.
