What You'll Do



  • Lead the electrical engineering aspects of conveyor system projects, including design, development, and implementation of electrical control systems.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts, bills of materials (BOM), and wiring diagrams according to industry standards and project requirements.
  • Specify and select critical components, including motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and safety devices.
  • Develop and program PLCs and HMIs to meet customer specifications and ensure safety compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and installation teams for smooth system integration.
  • Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT), field installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.
  • Provide technical support to customers and installation/service teams during and after project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, UL, CE, and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including manuals, as-builts, and test reports.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within engineering processes and best practices.

What We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical project engineering within automotive, conveyor, or material handling industries
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design software
  • Strong background in PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet)
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 79, UL, CE, ISO)
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer interaction
  • Willingness to travel up to 25-30% for installation, commissioning, and customer support
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs when needed
