Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Internal Audit professional with 10+ years of experience in the banking industry, specifically auditing credit risk and capital markets functions. This is a contract role supporting targeted audit initiatives across front, middle, and potentially back office operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of credit risk processes, including underwriting, post-closing monitoring, and problem loan management
- Evaluate credit risk models and CECL compliance
- Review various loan types and associated controls
- Collaborate with stakeholders across front and middle office; back office experience is a plus
- Deliver audit findings and recommendations aligned with regulatory expectations
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of internal audit experience in banking
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, capital markets, and CECL
- Experience auditing front and middle office credit functions; back office exposure preferred
- Familiarity with underwriting workflows and post-close monitoring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
