Overview
MBP is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving recruiting efforts, building strong talent pipelines, and ensuring we attract, select, and retain the best professionals in alignment with our company goals.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Partner with HR and business leaders to identify internal hiring opportunities, including assessing employees for advancement or role changes.
Recruit and attract applicants through creative sourcing solutions within an approved budget. Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to design and refine sourcing strategies for high-demand technical roles, aligning with company initiatives. Act as a technical sourcing expert, leveraging market trends, talent mapping, and competitor intelligence to target top-tier technical candidates. Build and maintain a pipeline of passive technical talent for long-term hiring needs while ensuring detailed ATS records are kept. Coordinate career fair strategy-including registration, logistics, resources, and team participation-while attending the majority of career fairs in person. Oversee the full recruitment process: job postings, advertising, candidate outreach, initial screenings, scheduling interviews, reference checks, background requests, extending offers, and supporting new hire orientation. Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting software to manage candidates, onboarding documentation, and compliance reporting. Ensure accurate recordkeeping for HRIS dispositions to meet Affirmative Action and compliance requirements. Develop relationships with third-party recruiting agencies and assist in vendor procurement and performance measurement. Provide counsel and guidance to hiring managers using data-driven insights and recruitment trends. Escalate employee relations concerns to the Director of Talent Acquisition and Retention when necessary. Travel up to 30% annually. Maintain strict confidentiality of personnel information. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Prior agency or third-party recruiting experience highly valued. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to use recruiting technology, platforms, and databases effectively. Experience leveraging AI-driven tools (e.g., resume screening, sourcing automation, market insights) to enhance efficiency and outcomes. - Knowledge of employment law, particularly recruitment regulations, is essential.
Familiarity with engineering, construction management, or A/E/C industry terminology a plus. Experience with iCIMS ATS preferred. Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR desired.

Strong technical skills with a demonstrated ability to use recruiting systems and sourcing tools effectively. Solid business acumen with the ability to influence and engage leaders across the organization. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate, prioritize, and drive results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
