The McLean Child and Adolescent Testing Clinic provides comprehensive neuropsychological, academic, and psychological evaluations to children and adolescents with learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and neurological issues. The clinic is staffed by neuropsychologists and has a post-doctoral training program.
The clinic has an immediate opening for a part-time academic evaluator position. The position includes administration of educational tests, attendance and presentation at weekly case conference, scoring, interpreting, and writing up the test results for each evaluation.Testing in the clinic is performed on Tuesdays. Rate is commensurate with qualifications.Requirements include: B.A. in education or psychology-related field, Master's level degree in education preferred Familiarity with administration of educational tests such as the WIAT and the Woodcock Johnson Experience working with children and adolescents with ADHD, anxiety and mood-related difficulties Coursework on testing and assessment All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes. Summary Working under the supervision of the Neuropsychologist, the Psychometric Technician will assist in administering a wide range of standardized academic, educational, or neuropsychological tests to pediatric outpatient with a diverse range of acquired or developmental neurocognitive disorders. This position assists in the cognitive evaluation of patients by administering, scoring and reporting the results of standardized tests of mental ability, as well as recording behavioral observations of patients during testing. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Administer standardized neuropsychological tests that assess cognitive and behavioral functioning (including intelligence, attention/executive functions, memory, language, visuospatial/quantitative abilities, mood, and personality) to patients. -Observe patients during and after testing, record behavioral observations and report to psychologist any information that may affect the validity of test results. -Accurately score all tests per standardized methods. Maintain an up-to-date and thorough knowledge of the scoring procedures for a wide variety of neuropsychological measures. -Create summary score sheets for each patient, detailing their performance by cognitive domain compared to the normative sample for each test. -Help establish and maintain an appropriate testing environment. -Enter scores and other data into a database as necessary. he McLean Child and Adolescent Testing Clinic provides comprehensive neuropsychological, academic, and psychological evaluations to children and adolescents with learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and neurological issues.
