Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics

Job Summary

This position will support the Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics (IHLA) mission to transform the health and well-being of our communities through applied evidence-based practices and technology integration. The Health Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting ongoing institute projects and providing data management and analysis with the goal of streamlining workflows, assessing utilization, and enhancing programmatic efficiencies.

This position is 100% contract-funded, and continued employment is contingent upon further grant or contract funding.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in the compilation and tabulation of data from a variety of sources
  • Provides information, analyses, and consultation to internal and external stakeholders
  • Performs statistical analysis on health data based on requests from project teams or Institute Director
  • Develop new reports, models, and processes as required by the institute and its special projects
  • Coordinates the collection of data from disparate sources, ensures data accuracy and integrity, and assists project sponsors in identifying relevant datasets
  • Writes queries or reports to provide data for various analytical projects and maintains accountability for analytics and reporting
  • Analyzes and interprets data to quantify project effectiveness and performance, both financially and in terms of population outcomes
  • Suggests process or practice improvements for programmatic enhancements from a data-driven perspective


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • Four (4) or more years of experience
  • Experience using statistical software for analysis (e.g. STATA, SAS, R)
  • Experience with data collection, coding, and manipulating large datasets


Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated interest in public health, global health, and/or infectious diseases

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in data analysis, statistics, or a related field
  • Master's Degree in a related field with at least two (2) years of experience

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with health applications and systems
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Experience working with database platforms and/or building SQL queries
  • Experience with spatial analytic techniques ArcGIS or comparable mapping software


Proposed Salary

$65,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
